Manuel is happiest outdoors – ski touring, mountaineering, biking, or on a via ferrata. For him, being active in nature means pure freedom – especially on his home mountain, the Dobratsch.
His motto: "If you want it, you can achieve anything!" And that’s exactly how he lives – ambitious, helpful, and full of positive energy. POP EYES is always with him – his favorite model: FRED, because it fits perfectly and works for every sport.
His personal highlight: the multi-day Spaghetti Route in Switzerland with several 4,000-meter summits – a real adventure. And even in everyday life, movement is a must: first work, then it’s time to head outside – whether with his wife, friends, or solo.
Morning coffee is non-negotiable – and if it’s up to Manuel, he wants to keep collecting unforgettable mountain moments and reach new, higher peaks!

How did you first hear about POP EYES?
Via Instagram – I simply love the products and use them all the time, whether privately or during sports. I always have at least one pair of sunglasses with me.

The FRED sunglasses in all variations – they fit me perfectly and are great for any sport!

What motivates you to train even on difficult days?
That feeling of freedom when I’m out in nature!
What does a typical day look like for you?
Wake up, work, do some sport, have dinner with my wife, chill on the couch, go to sleep :)

Which places or countries have shaped you most, and why?
Croatia – my go-to destination for summer holidays. I’ve had some amazing moments there during sailing trips!

The Dobratsch – my local mountain – whether in summer or winter

To have many more great, injury-free mountain experiences – and to climb even higher peaks!
